Kathy’s Knitwear was built on one simple belief. Staying warm should never mean giving up the way you want to look.

For too long, women have been made to feel like they have to choose. Warm or flattering. Comfortable or put together. Practical or beautiful. I have never believed that. A good cardigan should do both — keep you comfortable through the cold and still feel like something you are genuinely happy to wear.

My Mission

To offer knitwear that keeps you warm and still feels like you. Soft fabrics you actually want against your skin. Comfortable shapes that sit naturally on real bodies. Cardigans you put on in the morning for coffee on Main Street and are still wearing when the sun goes down.

My Vision

A world where a woman opens her closet on the first cold morning of the season and immediately sees something she loves.

Where the warmest cardigan you own is also the one you feel best in. Where getting dressed for winter does not mean hiding underneath something shapeless.

What I Stand For

Warmth first, always. Every piece has to answer one simple question before it belongs at Kathy’s Knitwear: would I want to wear this through a cold Lake Placid morning? If the answer is no, it does not belong in the collection.

Made to be worn again and again. I have always preferred pieces that earn their place in your closet. Comfortable enough for an ordinary Tuesday, beautiful enough that you still reach for them years later.

Real women, real winters. I choose knitwear for women who dress for themselves. Women who do not want to look twenty years younger — they simply want to look and feel like the best version of themselves today.
